Love how this one turned out! This is a modifcation of Sweet Summertime by counting_puddles from justcrossstitch August 2023. BUT! I modified it by stitching it on 18 count perforated paper and vlinging it out with Mill Hill beads. Then it can go in my monthly frame display for summer. I really loved the design. The motifs hidden in the watermelon and the lemon/lemonade are so unique. The original background is way better than mine, but I i had to make some changes due to the size and perforated paper.

My son will be getting married in November in India. This wedding sampler caught my eye because of the brightly colored floral design — reminiscent of Indian textiles. The kit arrived much more quickly than I expected, and I have all of my other supplies (Q-snaps, needles) ready to go. I wish I could comment on how the project is going, but I can’t yet. I am just about finished with a full coverage project that has taken me 2 1/2 years to complete! As soon as that’s done, I will be ready to start this one — hope this one will take less time so it will be done by November!
