October has been pretty rough, work is very busy and I’m also studying for an exam in November, so i haven’t had a lot of energy to cross stitch. I did start and finish this cutie though - Purr-fect Pirate by Counting Puddles 🏴☠️🐱. I stitched it on 28-count Antique Blue linen.

A Brew Crew finish on what feels like the first day of fall here in Oregon (it`s raining!). Loved this pattern from counting_puddles!! I did a full color conversion from the called-for DMC to Overdyed. I also subbed in beads for the French knots. Super happy with this moodier color palette.

Too eager to even take it out of the hoop 😅 I`ve so loved stitching this pattern and adding a book for each series I`ve finished reading this year!
Mostly stitched in the called for - only changes have been adding some sparkly threads and some beads because why not 😂 ✨✨

Life feels so heavy these days with one horrible news story after another. At least we have cross stitch. And books.
My project is back from the framer and I love it! I used roxy.flossco for the fabric and floss. I did my own floss conversion off a floss conversion which I do not recommend. As a result, I had to improvise one of the books and some of the shading here and there. I used seed beads from my stash instead of doing French knots and I added in some butterfly beads I had left over from another project. This was a really fun stitch and I`m just so happy with it.

Finally a finish and my first Nashville finish!!! I definitely under estimated that moon!! I loved this color palette and I can’t wait to start the next night garden and another counting puddle patten!!

My son will be getting married in November in India. This wedding sampler caught my eye because of the brightly colored floral design — reminiscent of Indian textiles. The kit arrived much more quickly than I expected, and I have all of my other supplies (Q-snaps, needles) ready to go. I wish I could comment on how the project is going, but I can’t yet. I am just about finished with a full coverage project that has taken me 2 1/2 years to complete! As soon as that’s done, I will be ready to start this one — hope this one will take less time so it will be done by November!
