Finished Magical Snowflakes by #countingpuddles. A few intentional changes and a few unintentional that I just went with! I don’t care for French knots so I subbed beads. Really fun pattern, I absolutely love her style!

Completed a project from counting_puddles
Made some changes such as using beads vice French knows and metallic threads for the backstitch.
I had lots of fun and can't wait to frame. I'm the meantime I get to go back to knitting the blanket for the eldest.

Added the French knots and fully finished it into a round ornament today. Feeling very accomplished.😀
Snowflake Llama by counting_puddles
DMC threads 2x2 on 32ct grey linen. It sure looks like the model, but the fabric scrap was from a pass the stash so I am not positive.

Second ornament finish of the weekend, Squirrel’s Bright Winter Night Ornament designed by counting_puddles . I will get him fully finished up next week when hopefully I have them all ready to go. I used all the called for colors except for the lighter color on his sweater as I wanted the cute pattern to really show. My cross stitch ornaments! Made with patterns from counting_puddles (Full disclosure I did make a decent amount of changes to the patterns including changing the colors). I ADORE her patterns and have been wanting to make these 3 into ornaments for a few Christmases now!)

Before we left for HI, I finished this birth record cross stitch project for my 2nd child. I had originally intended to design my own, but at her 2nd birthday I had to admit to myself that that wasn't happening. 😅
So, I found this beautiful pattern from Counting Puddles to match the space theme in her room. The fabric came from the stash I inherited from my husband's grandmother, who passed away last year. Which I think really adds to the sentiment of the heirloom piece. Now I just need to clean this up and bring it to the framers. 🌠

📚 Another unshared FFO! 📚
Sooo happy to have this framed and hanging by our bookshelves 😍 the framing from atelierpictureframing is stunning and was also insanely fast! I dropped it off one Sunday and it was done and delivered a week later!! Even more shockingly I've managed to get it up on the wall within a week of receiving it! Beats my previous record by about 8 months 🤣😅
I've got a new book themed start coming at the end of the month and when it's done will have it framed to match and hang it below this one 😁
Bonus cheeky chance to show off one of my bestie's artwork basicbeccagrows - 2 pieces she's gifted me which live on display on these shelves ❤️
Pattern - Books are Magic by counting_puddles
Fabric - Aztec Red 32ct (36ct?) by Weeks

It’s a Halloween finish! 🐈‍⬛🎃🏴‍☠️
Pattern: Purr-fect Pirate
Designer: counting_puddles in justcrossstitch magazine
Fabric: 18 ct aida in DaVinci from picturethisplus
Floss: dmc_embroidery and piraterobindesigns
Beads: Mill Hill
Image description: A black cat wearing a pirate hat cross-stitched onto lavender fabric with swirls of orange dye. The cat is sailing a wooden pirate ship with a repeating pattern of pumpkins and skulls inlaid in the design. Billowing in the wind are two sails, one in purple and orange, and another with a fish skeleton in black and white. Descending from the bow, a spider spinning a web across the ship’s side. Surrounding the finished piece, a felted pompom garland in festive Halloween shades of black, orange, purple, and green.

Had so much fun stitching this Purr-fect Pirate by counting_puddles! As soon as it came out I knew I had to stitch and put on chantelles141 cobweb display. It looks amazing! Thank you ladies for your creativity! Is there another round pattern with spiderweb that would look good? I was thinking about buying another cobweb display for next year.

October has been pretty rough, work is very busy and I’m also studying for an exam in November, so i haven’t had a lot of energy to cross stitch. I did start and finish this cutie though - Purr-fect Pirate by Counting Puddles 🏴‍☠️🐱. I stitched it on 28-count Antique Blue linen.

A Brew Crew finish on what feels like the first day of fall here in Oregon (it's raining!). Loved this pattern from counting_puddles!! I did a full color conversion from the called-for DMC to Overdyed. I also subbed in beads for the French knots. Super happy with this moodier color palette.
